Itinerary 

  • Day 1, Aug 6th - Landing in Warsaw. Transport to Hostel. Walking tour and dinner at Old Town. 
  • Day 2, Aug 7th -  Warsaw - Day Trip to Malbork Castle, the Castle of the Teutonic Order. Malbork is a largest 13th-century castle and fortress when measured by the land area. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  In the evening - meeting with the World War II veterans.
  • Day 3, Aug 8th - Warsaw - Zakopane. Visit to the Warsaw Uprising Museum, Lazienki Park. After dinner - overnight train to Zakopane.  
  • Day 4, Aug 9th - Zakopane. Check into our villa. Visit to town and climbing the Gubalowska Mountain. Views of the Tatry Region at sunset. Dinner in town. 
  • Day 5, Aug 10th - Trip to the 5 Lakes Valley. Zakopane. Exploring The Valley of Five Lakes National Park, a hanging, post-glacial valley in the heart of the Polish Tatras. All day trip.   
  • Day 6, Aug 11th - Zakopane. The day of hiking expeditions. We start the day early climbing Kasprowy Wierch, a peak in the Western Tatras.  From there, we will proceed (as an option) to hike the Swinica Mountain, coming back to the Kuznice cable car base. As an option, children can spend the day hiking around Morskie Oko instead (easier hike). Dinner in Town.
  • Day 7, Aug 12th - Zakopane, Learning the cheese making craft, playing with local white mountain puppies, exploring our hobbies, practicing languages, journaling, making music.
  • Day 8, Aug 13th - Zakopane - Cracow.  Taking a bus to Cracow in the morning. Visit the oldest Marjacki church and the old town of Cracow. Visit the Theater School with a local actor. 
  • Day 9, Aug 14th - Cracow. Visiting the Auschwitz Memorial. Quiet Day. Learning about the Holocaust and remembering the history. 
  • Day 10th, Aug 15th - Cracow - Kielce. Creative projects - ceramic workshops with polish kids, evening drum workshops in a samll villa
  • Day 11th, August 16th - Kielce - Warsaw. Visit to the oldest Jewish Cemetary in Warsaw. Journaling, last day reflections, dinner together.  
  • Day 12th, August 17th  - Back Home to the US, Cuba, with some of the group proceeding to Georgia country.

Application Fee: $65
Tuition: $2,100 (*airfare is not included)

Rules: 
Application process opens on June 1, 2019. Application fee is refundable if enrollment in the Program is not granted by Antinanco Earth Arts School. Interviews are conducted in September 2019 - February of 2020.  First tuition payment of $1,100 is due by January 1, 2020.  The remaining tuition balance of $1,000 is due by April 1, 2020.  Tuition payments are not refundable after March 1, 2020.

Applications will be carefully reviewed and students will be selected based on their maturity, enthusiasm, motivation and willingness to participate constructively in a diverse international group environment.

Accommodations are comfortable and shared. We will be staying in hotels and private apartments. Full breakfasts, and welcome and closing dinners will be provided.

Participants are responsible to obtain trip cancellation and medical travel insurance prior to the trip.
 

Who Is This Designed For

 The Program is geared for students with passion for cultural immersion experiences, learning outside of a classroom, learning about the Holocaust, nature explorations, hiking and self-growth. The program is designed for a wide array of skill levels with options to accommodate different physical skill levels, but physical mobility is required.
