Earth-Based Education

Spending time with children in Nature is at the heart of our work! Our programs take place in woodland settings of Monmouth County, NJ, among many acres of woodlands, nature trails and streams. Classes are led by experienced and certified mentors and teachers affiliated with Antinanco Earth Arts School.

Children and adults learn essential nature skills, basic sustenance needs, survival, safety, herbalism, foraging, plant identification, rites of passage, navigation, orienteering, compass practice, bush-craft, woodworking.

Our programs include play and team-building elements in the form of discussions, drumming, storytelling,  meditation circles and cooperative games such as scavenger hunts and plant identification games. Our discussions focus on sustainability, climate change, biodiversity, non-conflict communication, team building and rites of passage (transition from childhood into adulthood).
