In July 2021, we built a portable solar power station for the Sacred Mountains Sundance community in Piñon, AZ. The station powers a communal kitchen and other equipment used during the ceremony. The modular design allows for the system to be quickly disconnected and transported to another location where power is needed.
All electrical components are installed in a weather-protective case with wheels that makes it easy for one person to transport it without heavy lifting. The three 200 watt solar panels by Newpowausa and 400 Ah lithium batteries by Ampere Time will keep the kitchen equipment going 24/7.
We thank our partners at K'eh Native Action and all of the wonderful friends for supporting this project. Read more about the Project and specifications Here.
